Spice and VNC

Connecting to instances with Spice and VNC

Pritunl Cloud instances can be configured to support Spice or VNC clients. The Pritunl Cloud web console supports a web VNC client that uses WebSockets. For this to work all nodes must be able to reach other nodes on the VNC WebSocket port range `20001-24999/TCP.

For a higher performance connection a Spice or VNC client can connect directly to the node. For this to work the client must be able to reach the node IP address on VNC ports 10001-14999/TCP or Spice ports 15000-19999/TCP. Copy the VNC or Spice IP, port and password shown on the instance page to a client. Spice will provide the best performance and quality on high speed networks.
